How to: Healthy Super-Boost Blueberry Smoothie

One of my favourite breakfast/smoothie recipes. I discovered this one by experimenting with different fruits and veggies, blending it up and seeing how it turned out. Below I have set out my standard recipe, but feel free to alter the method and have fun with different flavours and supplements.


  • 80g blueberries (makes up 1 of your 5 a day)
  • a handful of raspberries
  • a handful of grapes
  • 1/2 an avocado
  • a handful of spinach
  • a splash of almond milk (as much as you need to blend properly – normal milk is fine if you have a nut allergy)
  • (ice – if you prefer a thick smoothie)


  1. Slice up half of the avocado and place in a blender
  2. Put all the other fruit and veg (blueberries, raspberries, grapes & spinach) into the blender
  3. Pour over the almond milk and add ice
  4. Blend until the drink reaches the consitancy you desire
  5. Serve!
